Diaper experience of a father

After the baby was born, my wife needed to recover her body during confinement. Not wanting to burden the family, I, a straight man, took on the responsibility of feeding and changing diapers for the baby. While watching the baby quickly consume diapers, I gradually bought various sizes of diapers. By the time the baby was over five months old, we had used three different sizes of diapers. From the initial fluster to now being orderly, I have gained considerable experience in choosing and changing diapers for the baby. Now, I would like to share these experiences with everyone.

1. Which diaper brand is the best?

1. Frequent replacement is more important than brand.

Personally, I believe that when the usage of diapers is high, as long as they are changed frequently, most diapers can be used. However, there may be differences due to individual baby constitutions. For example, some babies may be allergic to a certain brand or type of diaper. In this case, it may be necessary to carefully choose the brand and material. Under normal circumstances, as long as diapers are changed frequently, red bottoms usually do not occur. Before the baby was born, I heard a lecture for pregnant women in the hospital, where the local doctor happened to mention the issue of red bottoms. The doctor's advice was also to change diapers frequently.

2. The Archangel is very soft, easy to use, and can hold things well, but the others are not bad either.

My baby is now over five months old. We have used NB size, S size, and M size diapers, mainly from the brands Archangel Natural Grace and Archangel. Other diapers we have used, in order of usage, include Beaba Big Fish Begonia, Pampers Premium, Unicharm Yoki, Beaba Nezha, Babycare Weak Acid, and Pampers Black Gold.

3. Brief summary of the brand.

a. The ability to hold urine is decent, and there's basically no problem with overnight use.

As you can see, I have generally given a "good" rating for the urine containment ability of diapers. I am not a professional evaluation agency, nor have I conducted such detailed evaluations. I simply base my conclusions on my own experience with my baby's diaper usage. The above eight diaper brands all belong to the mid-range or mid-to-high-end category, and they should have no problem with basic urine containment ability. I have tried several diaper styles that can be left overnight without changing, and they can last from around eleven or twelve o'clock at night to five or six in the morning. Larger sizes can last even longer. Currently, the longest-lasting diaper is the M size. Both the Archangel Natural Grace and the Big Fish & Begonia have recorded a twelve-hour usage.

b. There are indeed differences in softness and tactile sensation, but the baby seems to not feel much or have any other reactions.

Comparing the soft Archangel and the hard First Level series from the eight options, when changing diapers, the baby still laughs when it should, and kicks its legs when it should. After changing, the baby's expression and activity ability do not show any abnormalities. So I personally think that while there is a difference in softness and tactile feel when we touch them, when it comes to babies, due to their body development issues, their feelings may not be as clear as ours.
